An update of the Alternate page. Both, BDJ's MM7-R4-mod & Vladimir's Maestro-Mod can be searched for at Celestial Heavens.
Jon Van Caneghem & Lars Buttler from Trion World Network were giving some insight/outlook to a new fantasy-game.

May 2, 2008
A little update of some of the pages (code/images) here and there.
Meanwhile a 'MM7Rev4mod final' plus some files were posted over at BDJ's Blog. Interesting thing, some great ideas!

February 9, 2008
Update of the Alternate page, a new project called 'Might and Magic Warlords' was added. Carelessly, Ribannah @ Castle Gobs' Lounge posted a timeline for the MMTribute project.
Finally I found some time to play a couple of the M&M-Mods... quite interesting, really. Don't forget to backup the original version first.

December 12, 2007
Fine-tuned the pages a bit, cleaned html-code; *shrug* some minor updates. Removed the Heroes 4+5 stuff, because it didn't fit at all.
There's a sort of MOD for M&M VII available! Check TELP's MM7 tavern for details, look for 'Pascal' or 'Pascual'. Sadly, I haven't had the time to play it through so far...

November 13, 2007
Moved to FortuneCity [sirmike.fortunecity.com]. I hope this is a fine home.

November 7, 2007
Complete rearrangement of the site. Only one page for the Might and Magic series, one page for the HoMM series, and an Arcomage and Other/ReMakes page is-are left. Deleted most links, whether good or bad.
There looks to be a split/fork of the MMTribute project... someone at Castle Gobs posted a link to a so called 'Might & Magic remake' site. I don't have a clue what's going on.

September 25, 2007
Just finished another M&M VI game. It's character graphics are way to real. Still, it's a bliss to play the game, with better images it'll be outstanding! (should I or someone else ever make it happen)...

July 24, 2007
An idea for a new project: "how-to run the game (successfully)" on newer systems, and even Non-Windows O/S. All M&M related games that is. A new project page is born, there's not much there though.

July 16, 2007
I found the time to work a little on the 'how-to change hero-characters' project. It's more difficult than I originally thought. This will take some time for sure.
So I opened up a new project page for it, but I haven't got a clue what to write. That's why it's empty for now...

April 17, 2007
Made a new Map (Continent Enroth) for Might and Magic VI... it's one huge (2680x1620) bitmap! A Mandate of Heaven :).

December 5, 2006
Too bad, I don't think I like Dark Messiah M&M. ...it's a pity where the series headed to.

November 1, 2006
A new version of MMTribute (V0.4) at Castle Gobs is out. Quite a fun to play around with it make sure to check out their Forum too!
By the way, I tried Heroes V the other day... argh, it's ever worse than its predecessor. No further comment here.

August 22, 2006
Huh! Two new versions of the MMTribute project got out to the public, 0.2 and 0.3, and I didn't know! Ffffhh... Check out Castle Gobs to grab 'em.

March 7, 2006
The pages are currently off-line. Didn't like the Bravenet-way, too much pop-up-ads. Now I've to find a way to host this site on my own server. Lets go for battle in the meantime.
Anyway, I made some cute 88x31px buttons for my site, normal and animated :) waste of time. *shrug*

March 4, 2006
Moved to Bravenet [genae.bravehost.com]. 50mb of space.

March 1, 2006
Currently I start a MM6-character-switching-project. Read more here [telp.org/mm6/tavern].
The goal is in principle to grab MM7-8 portraits and images in the 'icons.lod' (and other) lod-files via MM7view, adjust them to MM6, and finally replace some rather ugly images by batch-saving 'em into the MM6 'icons.lod'. Allright, you're confused now...

November 27, 2005
Large update of all the pages! Oh boy, most M&M websites are gone. Time goes on.

March 8, 2005
Made a new section - AddOns, Clones, Others, ReMakes, Tributes - may it grow.

March 6, 2005
I'd really like to see HoMM 5 or M&M 10 *crossingfingers*.
Maybe the guys & gals of the Tribute game can come up with something interesting, they relocated themselves here: Castle Gobs, MMTribute. The Demo (0.1.142) I looked into some time ago looks promising and brings back joyful memories. Give it a try!

January 12, 2005
Discovered very cute smileys from a gal named Beccary. Here's the direct link to her creations.

August 1, 2004
Now that I run WinXP to play games I realize that many older games don't run very well anymore.
Backup of bookmarks for some sort of workaround:
DOSBox - FreeDOS - bochs- VMware - QEmu - WINE - more...
(optional: WinXP + Win98 dualboot; not possible on newer hardware, if Win98 drivers are n/a)

April 14, 2004
Deleted the hole Avernum Trilogy section; anyway, here're my maps: <warning:large-files>
A1 world -- A2 great cavern & vahnatai lands -- A3 upper avernum & valorim <email me>
Oh wait, my favorite bars: "Cotra Inn and Dharmon Arms" ;) heh. <off-line>

April 3, 2004
Some updates of the pages. I was looking for some info on future releases in the Might and Magic universe, ...nada.

October 31, 2003
Sometimes I get an email from folks wondering why I don't have FAQ x or Walkthrough y on my page. Well, the answer is simple: the authors of these documents don't allow every website to add their content, some may even dislike a direct link to their publications.

June 7, 2003
I played another MM9-game and... simply dislike it's interface. The dungeons are actually quite nice; maybe the buildings are too big, some creatures seem to be, hmm... not rightly dimensioned? What a pity! The potential is there.

June 1, 2003
I'm hosting my site on my own server [http://genae.cjb.net/ via dhs]. The problem is, my Linux-box isn't up all day.

Also, updates of the Might & Magic homepages - smaller graphics, optimized layout.

November 2, 2001
Updated the ArcoMage page. Removed some trainer & stuff.
A few links still don't work across the site, but I haven't removed them yet, on purpose.

October 13, 2001
Just a few Links were corrected.

September 7, 2001
Changed most of the Info/FAQ/Walkthru-pages for all the Games. I think they look better now.
Also some other minor updates. Since I was on vacation, I could not upload 'till now.

August 19, 2001
Complete remake/update of the Might and Magic VI page.

July 19, 2001

And a few other changes as well. Optimization of images and HTML code...

May 20, 2001
Backing up two bookmarks.
Bomis: The Computers/Software/Abandonware ring -and- Home of the Underdogs.

May 2, 2001
Some updates for the HoMM II page. Now there's a little map section again.

March 18, 2001
I checked all of the links and updated the pages.
Removed all of the crappy stuff - Emulation and Might & Magic - until I successfully updated it..... hopefully during summer.....

February 2, 2001
Backup of a bookmark. ODP - Open Directory Project.

January 23, 2001
I updated all of the pages. Fixed broken links and stuff.
It will take a hell of a time to rebuild the pages, e.g. make the early Might and Magic games run, which require sometimes pure DOS. Like versions 5.x or 6.x, but Win98 comes with 7.0 (which is sometimes kind of a problem)... thank God some run under Linux. Then there's the problem of capturing screenshots. Aargh! It'll take years.

January 21, 2001
Switched to Angelfire [www.angelfire.com/rpg/mgenae] with 50MB.

January 9, 2001
Oh, this is great. I just discovered that I lost my copy of Might & Magic VI.. damn... on the other hand I now have three boxes with Baldur's Gate II - Shadows Of Amn..... very strange things happen here. Well, and I fixed a link on the HoMM III page.

previous news deleted...
